I can't hardly believe my eyes !!! :o Gummy has actually resorted to using emoticons! :o I didn't think it would ever happen. I didn't think it was a physical, or even an emoticnal, possibility. Well done, gums! ;)

Btw, I checked-out `Chuck Berry - You Can't Catch Me` on YouTube.com, but the first selection I chose starts-off with a set of commercialsthat I think only our dear ole misguided Melwould be interested in: ;)

Jack,

It is correct to assume that Mel's preference would be for the Richard Hudnut products.

Mel, I believe, doesn't celebrate Christmas. So, I guess he doesn't share Snookie's preference for the clean taste of Lucky Strike fags under the Christmas Tree.

. . . I think I now have 25 or 26 of his incredible jazz saxophone album & disc releases, dating all the way back to `Touch` [1974], back when there were only albums & cassette tapes:

Problem is . . . it's hard to decide which album or track to listen to.

I am most envious Jack. I am afraid most of mine are CDs and downloads - much easier to amass high numbers of songs. I did download about 300 songs off facebook. Someone had interviewed Poison Ivy and Lux Interior (RIP) from The Cramps regards their fave tunes, then succeeded in finding all these wonderful 50's tunes and sharing them free of charge.

Hi Punk, whereabouts would I be able to find the fave tunes of the Ivy and Lux (RIP)? I love love love the Cramps!!!!!

Hi JustMe, The Redskins takes me right back to Loreto College when I joined the N.O.L.S!!!lol Love the Redskins, Neither Washington or Moscow but International Socialism!!!!!!! Top Top Top Album.... must go a give it a spin!!!!

Madita right at this moment, before that Miles Davis "In A Silent Way". Saw Brian Kellock and Julian Arguelles a few weeks back, gob smackingly good. After I've cooked dinner, may have a little David Sylvian. As a girl I freaked out my friends by fancying John Thompson, and loving his Jazz character from the Ftts Show, mmm, nice. So got heavily into Jazz, which given the fact I was a teenager and didn't have a beard was somewhat disconcerting to my dance crazed buddies. Now I occasionally go to jazz gigs and meet surprisingly interesting men, usually older than me. I feel in love with one of them, but it didn't quite work out, I miss him. maybe some Joni Mitchell, Hejira perhaps?

...coming through the snow and the pinewood trees, here's a man and a woman sitting on a rock, they're either gonna thaw out or freeze..."

Suddenly Joni Mitchell is everywhere.

Buffy, I could be one of those interesting men, if only I were old free and single, as opposed to just old. Maybe I'll bump into you when I'm next at the Sage, or The Cluny..

I have the Nine Mile Burn sessions on CD, which is Brian Kellock and Julian Arguelles playing together, and very fine it is too.

Right now 'm listening to the seagulls squealing as the rise up through the sunlit evening above the cold shoreline between Newholm Beck and Snadsend.

The Whirring of the dishwasher above the tap tapping of my fingertips on the keyboard of my MacBook. The confused internal world has started to damp down before the inevitable and welcome fronds of enveloping sleep. So long and thanks for all the dishwashers (with apologies to Douglas Adams).
