John B.

Love it.

No, that was Johnny Depp.

No Johnny Depp wasn't in the Beatles but he was in a video with Tom Petty, who was in a band with George Harrison, who was in the Rolling Stones with Brian Epstein.

John B.

Now there's something funny.... John B. (or more specifically Sloop John B.) was a song written by the Beach Boys, whose co founder was Brian Jones.  I think that was before he drowned. But not on a beach, in a pool.  Kinda ironic. If he was at the beach he might still be alive and the Beatles may still be going.

That's right, Emmy Lou Harris was the lead singer in the same band. (Or 'group' as they were then known.)

You are all terribly confused. Keef Richards once played on a pirate radio station, but that didn’t make him a pirate. And he wasn’t in the Beatles, but he does collect beetles. Little known fact right there. He chews them for their hallucinogenic properties.

I thought it was Keef Richards that sings at Wimbledon when it rains.

No, that was Cliff Robertson, the well known porn star.

Anyway you've all got it wrong, Brian Blessed was the founder of the Stones and Beach Bums flipping across the pond as required

An Indian guru co-ordinated the career of the Beetles using Paul Daniels and John Bull as the de-facto song writers

The Trogs contrary to popular belief never lived under a bridge

There never was lots of Skifle bands, just one who worked quadruple shifts in and around Liver and Onions

And Elvis DID work in a chip shop in his spare time when not sewing sequins onto Roy Orbison's dark glasses

This thread is just getting silly now.

It started off on a serious note, but then an All Black interloper stuck her size nines in.

Are you thinking of the chap that was swallowed by a whale? I think he was called Brian. Or was it Fred?

No that was Captain Ahab. Just another Boatman, could turn up as a John a Paul or a Brian.

Jonah wasn't a boat man, was he? I thought he was just a passenger on one when he became a whales breakfast.

Did you mean Norah (Jones) and get a bit confused? She was a singer  in Bob Marley's band, The Wailers.

Was that not Nathan Jones or am I getting my bananas mixed up with my wailing? Wasn't Waylon Jones a country singer by George?

You're thinking of Davey Jones and by some of the Wailing from B M's band, he could quite well have been a singer with them.

No, David Jones was Major Tom, and he was sitting  in a tin can not the stomach of a whale. Mick Jagger played guitar in his band at the time though so maybe that's where your confusion lies?

The only confusion, and its very slight, is how this thread got from people wielding axes to astronauts.

I totally agree, this thread has become ridiculous. When did we start talking about axemen? Brian Jones wasn't anywhere near the axeman that Jonah Hendrix was.

There is/was only one axeman and thats Clapton Junction.

Finally we're getting somewhere. Eric Bourdon played in John Lennon and The Bluesbreakers , The Yardbirds and Cream. An absolute animal on the drums.

You're getting mixed up with Eric BIRDIN and the Yardbirds. It was Ginger Pudding on the drums with Doctor Hook.

What ladies, have I upset?

If you cannot take someone making a comment about you, then don't make comments about people.

Now who is in wonderland and dreaming!!

I am in contact with many of the ladies in this forum, whether through PM messages, chat or communicating outside these forums.  Your words cannot wind me up if that is your intention as I know more people within these forums, than you are likely too in your lifetime. So my advice to you is to give up now while you still have an account

No, its 5.50 and I'm wide awake but I can't say the same about you.

You really want to try to wind me up and like a prick, just like you tried to do last year with a different account?

What happened to all your previous accounts?

Doctor Hook was a pirate with a peg leg wasn't he? Had a bird on his shoulder so I can see where you're mistaken. Ginger had nothing to do with it, although David Jones did sport a ginger hair do at times.

You're thinking of Long John Silver, a previous member on here, but I'm not sure about the parrot.
