Mrs Minx has asked me to put this question out here to see what the views are of others.

When ever she wears suspenders she always picks outfits where the straps dont show ...now just a hint may sometimes be enough to put her off.

Dosen't matter just how much I encourage her to be brave .

So what do others think about it?

Plainly visible suspender straps seem a bit tarty to me.

A hint, a very subtle hint is ok, but i suppose it is what she is most comfortable with that really counts.

You are luckier than me, my better half very rarely wears, and any sort of show is unacceptable when she does.

the best bit is always not knowing there is nothing better than pulling a lady and when that hand touches her waist when you start dancing and you feel the suspender belt that is the biggest turn on for me, hope thst is not being forward

If the straps are too obvious it is too much. If there is a hint of line and suspender bumps it is sooooooooooooooooo nice!

Its a shame to wear a skirt/dress at all but if you have to the more obvious the better, nothing better to get the heart racing than straps and tops straining!

I think bumps, if they are slight when wearing a dress or skirt is fine (I know most of my skirts will show my suspender bumps). I think showing straps actually visible, or even showing stocking tops plain as day, is not acceptable and not really sensible... and what's more, does nothing to change a lot of peoples ideas about stockings.

Rikki,

I think if bumps are too obvious in the workplace then sooner or later it will be noticed.

As for wearing out of work.....well its like showing I think.

A little now and then is a turn on for me and certainly focuses my husbands attention!

Never wore a skirt tight enough to show my straps or garter tabs. On the other hand I did have a few pairs of skin tight stirrup pants that I wore stockings with that did vividly show my garter tabs and most likely the outline of my garter belt and panties. In about 1994 Bill and I went to Las Vegas. The first and only time we have been there. We stayed at the Mirage. I strolled around the casino area playing the 25 cents machines. I wore black shiny satin stretch stirrup pants. Got those babies at Frederick's and they were form fitting to the max. Underneath I wore National black RH&T stockings and black soft leather four inch slides and a long sleeve black lace top. And yes my gartering hardware was visible. I felt a bit evil but I was having some fun showing off. I have no idea if I was attracting anyone's attention other than my husband's. All those people seemed to be deeply involved with their gambling. I did have fun! So having a bit of fun and showing off that suspender hardware from time to time is fine by me.

Depends entirely on the circumstances. At the office, it doesn't seem appropriate in most cases to show any significant bumps.

For many social occasions, it's strictly the wearer's choice. I love seeing bumps, which I think are fun and a great tease!

It's the same with the hint of stocking top, too much is tarty, just enough is so sexy ... so a strap that you may see at a certain angle or in certain light is nice ... but when skirt is too tight and obvious ...well a bit too tarty for me ....

Hi Monica,

I also remove these worthless ribbons over clasp but not for showing bumps through tight skirts.

For me, the sense of the cotton or satin tabs not obvious, they only do irritate when wearing stockings on a daily basis.

So I prefer complete plain belts with no frills, bows etc. No need for such decoration.

Suspender bumps on show is a personal decision. Some like it, some do not. It is ladys choice, isn't it ?

With most lined skirts this is not an issue. I agree that in the workplace it is probably not appropriate to allow suspender bumps to be displayed, but they are occasions where flirtation does allow some visibility.

My view is that people on here like hosiery and look at others who wear it. The sight of suspender bumps or stocking tops to the male admirers is a turn on. What I see is a classy, sophicated attractive lady, not a tart, and this makes my day. In my opinion the greatest majority of males are not bothered about stockings and hoisery where possibly 1 in 15 are. Others being more entised by big breasts or in seeing a black bra through a white blouse, showing staps with bumps like most women do on a daily basis with out any thought at all. I think women should feel confident enough about their form to wear lovely underwear and hoisery everyday, anything to make them feel and look good and welcome the admiring glances and not feel that they are being demeaned but appreciated.

My wife will wear only stocking, never tights, and has done for 30 years. She tend not to wear very tight skirts, only because they are uncomfortable to wear all day and thinks nothing of being able to see the definition of her garter belt or stocking tops through her normal wear. The only time she is concsious is if a slit is a little too revealing and her upper thights are shown when going up stairs as she feels this looks unattractive, but a slight glimps of stocking top at the top of a slit when legs are crossed does not bother her.

The hint of suspenders, if not blatant, can be very sexy indeed.

A while ago at a local wine bar, the waitress was wearing the uniform of white blouse and loose black trousers. I noticed first that ahe was wearing one RHT and one FF! Later, she bent to pick up a dropped menu and the outline of straps became apparent. Wow. And then, when bending her blouse rode up to show a black belt.

More recently, in the space of a fortnight I went to both a wedding and funeral. At the wedding, a slim middle aged lady in a chiffony type dress was sitting in the aisle pew opposite and a white strap showed clearly through her dress but was not to be seen later.

At the wake of the funeral, a girl always in jeans or jodhpurs had on a LBD and black hose. She was standing in a ray of sunshine and the straps were obvious. Later, i was treated to an inadvertant flash of stocking top.

All three were exciting simply because they were accidental and unexpected.

Hi all,

I cannot see what the issue is! Suspenders and stockings are clothing nothing more. If some men find seeing suspender bumps arousing so be it. Come on, we are talking about men here, the slightest thing can get them aroused, thats how they are programmed. And to be honest, I would rather be complimented than not. Just my thoughts.

Suspenders strap bumps are a real turn on and it makes men putty in women's hands.

You're just saying that because it's true. ;)

I dated a lady for a while who preferred the bumps visible. She also added that she felt more confident knowing they could be spotted. Nothing too obvious and mostly under a balck skirt or dress, but never the less she enjoyed the odd admiring look

I would agree with everything jbstockings says.

Just been into our local B&Q looking for a gas fire.

Im wearing a pencil skirt with a lovely lace insert which is quite subtle unless you stare hard.Tan Cervins with a black seam. And high stillettos.

Spent quite a time there store was quite busy. The only person showing any interest was my husband bless him.

He was rewarded with a good show on exiting and then entering the car and halfway home.

We are a minority I fear-thank God we stick together lol... :P

He was rewarded half way home? Inquiring minds want to know but, well, we'll just leave it there. B)

Back when Jacqueline and I wandered the antique shops...I think even obvious garter straps and clasps are elegant as much as they are sexy. But a lot has to do with the style and attitude of the wearer. An elegant woman can display more without being vulgar.

My girlfriend doesn't find it an issue if her suspender straps are showing through her clothess of if her stocking tops are visible by accident.

She just feels very sexy wearing them, so she wear suspenders and stockings every day, also at her office job.

I think the not knowing for sure is the erotic part. I for one always look and think there is nothing better than a lady's legs being adourned by stockings. I saw a female at the train station yesterday who was certainly wearing stockings and the bumps were clearly on show - t'was a wonderful sight.

As a Guy I believe that the Lady should be comfortable in what she wears. If she is uncomfortable with the showing of Bumps, perhaps it makes her nervous. Personally I prefer to imagine and perhaps see a hint of Stocking Top rather than the Bumps. Bumps are really not classy in my opinion.

I have worn skirts that maybe be clingy or tight

I usually wear thinner strapped suspenders then.  Thicker ones look too Ott to me. But my opinion
