This topic has been raised several times before, however these are a few I can remember:-
Several James Bond Films-Daniela Bianchi in 'From Russia with Love' , Teri Hatcher in the 'World is not Enough' that actually had 'stockings by ARISTOC' in the credits.
Most of the 'Carry On' films upto the late 1960's eg Barbara Windsor in Carry on Spying.
There must be hundreds!!

An Italian movie by Tinto Brass called "The Key" would satisfy any stockingshq aficionado. It could easily have been titled "Stockings galore." Incidentally, it stars Frank Finlay in a somewhat unexpected role as the older man incapable of satisfying his young wife.
As for Mr and Mrs Smith, it must rank as one of the nastiest films to come out of Hollywood recently, an advert for wife beating. .

Anthony Hopkins as Dick, Joan Allen as Pat
it was only one brief scene. Dick is sitting at the desk in his private study in the Whitehouse. Pat walks in wearing a long robe (as i recall), carrying a drink, and she is not wearing shoes. she sits in a large chair and they begin to talk. at some point she crosses her legs and the camera angle catches her foot. she's wearing RHT stockings. at least it seems so because you can only see her toes, but you see them clearly.
Joan Allen played a credible Pat, and up to that point i never thought of the ex-first lady as having any sensual qualities. but that image led to 45 seconds of erotic fantasy that involved Pat and RHT stockings. i got over it

Or even Anne Bancroft!!!
Another point of fact. The "legs" in the Graduate stocking scene actually belonged to Linda Gray, who USA television watchers in the 1980's also knew as J.R. Ewing's wife , Sue Ellen, in telvision's first nightime soap - Dallas.
Jessica Lange - Everybody's All-American
Juliann More - End of an Affair
Cybill Sheperd - The Last Picture Show
Beverly D'Angelo - Summer Catch

The title says it all about the movie - typically ludicrous medium-budget 80's Euro-horror by infamous Cannibal Holocaust helmer Ruggero Deodato.
This is much tamer fare, and features the gorgeous Charlotte Lewis being terrorised by telephones.
The scenes of interest here involve Charlotte slipping into a black basque and stockings, then slipping into a hot bath (still sporting said lingerie), writhing around in the suds for a while, then getting tangled up (and hung up, if you'll excuse the pun) in telephony wiring that's been possessed by a ghost (yes, really!) and then running around outside for a while, still in the basque and stockings. It really doesn't get much better (and sillier) than this.
The same director also managed to get some good stockings scenes into another horror offering, The Washing Machine. I'll leave you to figure out what that one was all about...
PS These movies are 'mainstream' in the sense that they are not porn.
